A wedding photo challenge gives every guest a creative reason to take their phone out, and it gives the couple a gallery full of moments the official photographer would never see. Here is the simplest way to set one up.

The 5-step setup

  1. Plan around one prompt per 2 guests. 60-guest wedding: ~30 prompts. 150-guest wedding: ~75. Use our free planner for an exact recommendation, or pull from 55 prompt ideas.
  2. Choose a card design that matches your wedding palette. PhotoChallenge ships with five themes from minimalist to romantic; see all of them on the cards guide.
  3. Print the PDF on 160gsm paper. Two cards per A4 sheet, cut along the dashed lines.
  4. Place cards on tables or place settings next to the menu or favours. Add a single line on the menu telling guests to scan them.
  5. Share the gallery after the wedding using the link from your overview page.

Things people forget

  • Check that the venue has Wi-Fi or strong mobile reception; the QR flow needs both.
  • Brief your MC to mention the challenge once during dinner.
  • Print one or two extra cards in case a card walks off as a souvenir.
